ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

Art has been a vital and inspirational life journey for me, a part of every day.   All mediums of drawing and painting have been important in expressing  my thoughts of the natural world around me.  Currently my focus is on watercolor as I enjoy the spontaneous and fluid nature of the colors.  I earned a BFA from San Diego State University and completed graduate art courses there and from the University of California, La Jolla.  I have taught art in the public schools in California and Ohio.  Memberships in the Central Ohio Watercolor Society, the Worthington Area Art League, Ohio Plein Air, and the Lancaster Art Guild give me opportunities to learn from other artists and to exhibit my work.
