ARTIST'S STATEMENT:
Nancy L. Vance has been a lifelong resident of Ohio. She works full time at a ‘real’ job to finance her artistic endeavors.

Fiber art was her main focus for many years while she studied with nationally known fiber artists Melody Johnson, Sue Benner, David Walker, Libby Lehman, and Elizabeth Busch. She enjoyed the challenge of national quilting competitions and was juried into many shows receiving numerous awards.

In 2005, changes in her personal life lead her to Columbus Ohio and her artistic focus changed. She now has a passion for painting in several mediums. She has studied with local artists Jim Glover, Charles Rowland, Meredith Martin and Stan Pierce. 

She was juried into the Central Ohio Watercolor Society in the fall of 2007 as a signature member. She is an active member of the Worthington Area Art League and the Ohio Plein Air group.

Her work is in private collections. She has been juried into and won awards in many local, regional and national group and invitational exhibits.
